Britains Got Talent: Fridays Results and Preview of the Final

Congratulations to George who managed to beat off all the competition and win Britains Got Talent.

Well we had the last of the semi finals last night, a good show, with all round entertainment in it. When it came to the results, I could not decide who might make it through. There were very good performances from Escala, Madonna Decena, Craig Harper and Nemesis.

Through to the final

Making it through to the final on the viewers vote, were Escala. Escala are a string quartet put ddon’t let that put you off, they are phenomenol. They played a fantastic rendition of Live and Let Die, which was superb. Take a look for yourselves:

Piers said “I think bookmakers all over the country are ripping up their books because you have just became the red-hot favourites” he isn’t far from the truth. They have infact stormed in at second place, with best odds of 15/8 available at skybet (second only to Faryl Smith).

The two acts which received the most number of votes and were up for the judges vote was the comedy singing impressionist Craig Harper. He mimicked his way through Dame Shirley Bassey, Enrique Iglesias and finished up with Barry White. The other act were the street dancers Nemesis. Unfortunately I’m not a fan of street dancing so the decision for me would have been simple. For the judges though it was a little more difficult. Amanda and Piers voted for one each, which gave Simon the casting vote. He was too ripped between the two, he says if I was voting with my heart then Craig would be through, however voting with his head, actually put Nemesis through to the final. Check out what they did to sway Simon’s decision:

Britains Got Talent: The Final Lineup

There we have it, our final 10 acts which we will get to see again this evening in the final. If you missed any of the semi finalists, you can check our Britains Got Talent pages to see each days finalists or check out ITV.

Everyone has had an opinion about the acts this year, what do you think of them, please leave us a comment to let us know, who would be your winner. I will turn to the bookies to see who they are backing for the top spot. The table below has all the finalists, along with the best odds offered by the bookmakers. If you want to place a bet on your favourite, just click on the odds and you’ll be taken to the bookmaker’s betting slip.

From the list are there any surprises? Well top of the list, coming in at 10/11 is Faryl Smith, her performance was brilliant, but do the public want another classical singer to win? Next we’ve got Escala, again a fantastic performance, and different in terms of not being a singer, so would fit well for the Royal Variety Performance. If you fancy Escala the you can get 6/5 from Paddy Power. George Sampson is in third place, but is still a contender coming with odds of 6/1 from Paddy Power. His Dancing in the Rain was exceptional, so shouldn’t be ruled out.

Then it’s onto the less than favourites (at least as far as the bookies rate them). Andrew Johnston the 13 year old classical singer is on the list at 18/1 with the plumber from Scotland Andrew Muir at 25/1 both from Paddy Power. Signature are available at 33/1 (Paddy Power) whilst Kate & Gin and Nemesis are available at 50/1.

This leaves the complete outsiders, at 100/1 is the Cheeky Monkeys and Strike (the ever so good martial artists) in last place at 150/1.

What do you think to that list. Do you think that there are any acts which should be rated differently, for me I think Strike should certainly be higher than they are, in favour of some of the singers even. I think that it should really be a variety act that wins this year – whilst the singers are good, they really have their own show (X Factor) which they could win. We don’t have enough variety making it on to TV.

Who will I be betting on for tonights final?

I think Escala

The final of Britains Got Talent is on tonight at 6:50pm with the results show at 9:30pm.
