Public Sector Tipped to Strike in January

Disgruntled workers in the Public Sector are vowing to take Industrial action after bearing the brunt of what was the toughest budget in Ireland’s history. Bookies Paddy Power are betting it’s now only a matter of time before public servants take to the streets and have made January the 1/2 favourite to see strike action.

The odds on the sector striking before Christmas Day is 7/4 while it’s an unlikely 7/1 that they’ll take action during the holidays from 25th – 31st December.

On a more positive note, Paddy Power are quoting strong odds of 7/4 that Ireland will officially come out of recession in the 3rd quarter of next year.
