Pacquiao v Cotto Betting

Manny Pacquiao BettingManny Pacquiao takes on Miguel Cotto on November 14th for the WBO welterweight title.

Whilst many see it as purely a warm-up fight for Pacquiao v Mayweather in 2010, Pacquiao himself has declared it “the toughest fight of my career” – Coming from the man who defeated Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton in his last two fights, and who is rated the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world, that is praise indeed for Cotto, who many expect to take the fight the full distance. Whether he can pull off a victory remains to be seen however.

The bookies certainly don’t think we’ll be seeing anything other than a Manny Pacquiao victory though, with many of them, including Blue Square, Boylesports, skybet and Paddy Power pricing him as a strong 1/2 favourite, whilst VC Bet and Ladbrokes are offering odds of 13/8 on Miguel Cotto causing an upset and pulling out the win.

As with many of the top fights, Pacquiao v Cotto will be shown live on Sky Box Office. The viewing public will be hoping for value for money this time around, having seen Ricky Hatton knocked out in less than three rounds last time Manny Pacquiao stepped into the ring. There is less chance of a knockout this time around, but if the bookies are to be believed, Pacquiao will win through in the end, lining up that tasty showdown with the “Pretty Boy” himself, Floyd Mayweather in 2010…
