Euromillions Triple Rollover - will you win £44m

Euromillions, the European lottery is run in 9 countries and offers players the chance to win big money. Just how big depends on how many times the prize rolls over to the next draw. Each week, on a Friday, the numbers are drawn and someone could win the jackpot.
This Friday sees one of only a few triple rollovers, with the jackpot prize being an estimated £44million. The last Euromillions Jackpot that was won was on the draw which took place on Friday 24th April where the jackpot was won by a single player and totaled €58,367,681.
Are you set to be the next big winner? Well come Friday you could find out by playing Euromillions online at the National Lottery site. Each ticket costs £1.50, and you only have to match at least one main number and both stars or two main numbers and one star to win a prize. To win the jackpot you must match all the numbers that are drawn plus the two star numbers. There’s a load of tiered prizes up for grabs too for various combinations of numbers matched.
Past Big Winners
- The record Euromillions Jackpot was £126million which was drawn on 17th November, this was share between 3 winners. The Good Causes saw a staggering £15million raised from this draw!
- The largest single winner was Dolores McNamara, from Limerick who won £79million in July 2005.
- The UK player with the highest winnings was Angela Kelly, from East Kilbride, who won a £35.4 million jackpot in August 2007.
The Euromillions Draw can only rollover for 11 weeks (which it has done once) before there has to be a winner. Then the players who are closest to matching all the numbers gets to share the top prize. We still have a way to go to get to that sort of money, being just a triple rollover, but hey, if there’s no lucky winner on Friday night, the Euromillions will rollover again.
For those of you who may leave buying a ticket to the last minute, a word of warning: When there are big jackpots, there is a huge demand on Camelot for tickets, and sometimes they are not able to cope, so buy online, and buy in plenty of time for the draw. You can purchase tickets for Euromillions online every day up till 11pm (BST) and until 7.30pm on the night of the draw.
Buying your ticket online means that you cannot lose your ticket, in fact you don’t even have to check it, if you win they will email you to let you know. For most prizes they add it straight into your account so it couldn’t be easier.
