Totesport Betting Preview 22 May – Goodwood Races

Today’s races which have been selected by totesport for their ToteJackpot, TotePlacepot and ToteQuadpot prize pools is at Goodwood. The six races in question are the 14:15, 14:50, 15:25, 16:00, 16:35 & 17:10.  We will be giving you a bit of a preview into each race, and hopefully help you pick the right horses and scoop the Jackpot.

Remember, to win any of these Jackpots you need to pick the right horses in each and every race to win. So for the ToteJackpot, you will need to pick the winners from each of the six races; to win the TotePlacepot, pick 6 horses which are placed, one for each race; and to win the ToteQuadpot, you’ll need to pick the winners of the 15:25, 16:00, 16:35 & 17:10 races.  For more information about the different types of bet you can make at totesport, see our Guide to Totesport’s BetXtra Markets page.

On to the races, first up we have the 14:15.  The current favourite is Burning Flute, which is very closely followed by Indian Art and In Transit.  Gathering a lot of attention from bettors is Fareer, which is taking over a third of all bets placed at the moment, it is in fact the only horse in the race with odds that have been shortening.

In the 14:50 race, we have only 5 horses to choose from.  The favourite Sixties Icon is available for odds of 4/5 at totesport, though at 9/4 there is Blue Ksar.  We have included some coverage of this race on today’s  Horse Racing Preview.

The 15:25 has a larger field of 7 horses with Safari Mischief taking the favourite’s position with odds of 15/8.  Sweet Afton is available at 9/2 whilst The Jobber has odds of 5/1.  At 11/2 is Golden Dixie, the outsider for this race is Woodcote standing at 18/1.  Again there is further coverage on our Horse Racing Preview page.

We can find 7 horses again in the 16:00 race, where the favourite is Forget It with odds of 13/8.  You may fancy Triannon at 2/1 or even Summer Winds at 7/2 there isn’t much in it.  The outsider is decisively Shaarma Rose at 33/1.  None of the horses have won either at this course, or over the distance, so it will be interesting to see who crosses the line first.

The 16:35 race sees the return of a large field, and one that could through your results out.  If you have already picked the winners of the previous races, it is this one that is very important for you.  To go with the favourite, Quirina will get you odds of 9/4 whereas the next horse is Madame Hoi at 10/3 and My Aunt Fanny at 9/2.

The last race that matters for the ToteJackpot or TotePlacepot is the 17:10 at Goodwood.  There are 10 horses in the race, with the favourite Golden Desert coming out on tip with 3/1.   Counsellor has odds of 4/1 whilst Titan Tirumph sits at 11/2.
