F1 German Grand Prix Live Betting

July 20, 2008

At the halfway point of the Formula One Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has led from the very start, and was looking comfortable as he built up a 11.7 second gap over his Driver’s Championship rival Fernando Massa, when during lap 35 the Toyota of Glock was involved in a huge crash, resulting in the safety car being brought out, eroding Hamilton’s lead to nothing when the race restarts. Remember you can bet live on the German Grand Prix right up to the final lap with 888sport, Bet365, skybet and Paddy Power.

As a result, Hamilton’s odds to win the German Grand Prix from Hockenheim have dropped to a still well favourite 1/5 (Bet365). Massa is up to 9/2 (Stan James) and Kovalainen out at 25/1 (Bet365). With 28 laps remaining, the safety car is still out, and when the race restarts, Lewis Hamilton will remain in the lead, but will have to try and rebuild his lead over Massa in second place. Hamilton also did not take the opportunity to pit whilst the safety car was out, so if it remains out much longer, he will need to pit before building up the lead he needs to pit and then re-enter the race in first place.

Could this be a gamble too far for Lewis Hamilton, and therefore worth taking the 9/2 on Massa? Or can Hamilton pull yet another rabbit out of the hat? Remember, you can watch the race live on ITV1, and bet live with all the above bookies, right up to the final lap of this thrilling race. 27 laps to go, and the safety car is gone.. race on!

Lewis Hamilton’s win at Hockenheim has had a huge impact on the odds for the Formula One Drivers Championship, and Hamilton is now the clear favourite, with odds of 4/7 to win the championship (888sport).

Kimi Räikkönen is second favourite with odds of 5/2 (Bet 365, whilst Fernando Massa’s disappointing third in Germany has seen him slide down into third favourite for the Championship at 5/1 (Blue Square and Ladbrokes). Robert Kubica remains a 33/1 outsider with 888sport.
