by John Lamerton on March 12, 2008

Everton v Fiorentina (0-2 from first leg)

Everton will have an uphill struggle to turn around a two goal deficit whilst avoiding the dreaded away goal that would require them scoring four to progress to the Quarter Finals of the UEFA Cup at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.

They will be without Leon Osman (groin), as well as James Vaughan (knee injury), Manuel Fernandes (also knee), and Nuno Valente (thigh injury), and will give late fitness tests to Steven Pienaar and Tim Cahill who both suffered knocks in their victory at Sunderland on Sunday.

Everton are favourites to win the tie (20/21, Totesport), whilst the odds for Fiorentina to win are 7/2 (VC Bet). Blue Square have the best odds for the draw at 12/5.

PSV Eindhoven v Tottenham (1-0 from first leg)

Spurs also face a tough task after Jefferson Farfan scored a vital away goal at White Hart Lane last week to hand PSV a 1-0 lead going into this game in Holland. Spurs warmed up for this game by thumping West Ham 4-0 on sunday, so they will hope to have their scoring boots on.

Ledley King returns to the Spurs side after being rested for the West Ham game. Jonathan Woodgate is suffereing from a foot injury, but has travelled with the squad, along with Jermaine Jenas, who twisted his ankle in the first leg at White Hart Lane.

The odds for Spurs to beat PSV are 15/8 (Totesport), whilst the home win is available at 8/5 (VC Bet). Bet 365 have the odds for a draw at 23/10.

Odds on who will win the UEFA Cup

Tottenham are the lowest priced English winner at 14/1 (Bet 365). Everton are at 16/1 (Boylesports), Rangers at 18/1 (Totesport), and Bolton at 66/1 (Boylesports). Favourite is Bayern Munich at odds of just 9/4 (Boylesports)
