Premiership Betting preview 24th February
Blackburn v Bolton
Blackburn Rovers welcome back David Dunn, Morten Gamst Pedersen and Christopher Samba to the squad following their relative suspensions, whilst defenders Andre Ooijer and Ryan Nelson look set to miss out through hamstring injuries.
Gary Megson will more than likely make some changes to the side that disposed of Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Cup in midweek, with Gretar Steinsson and Tamir Cohen recalled due to being cup-tied in the UEFA Cup match, and Ricardo Gardner and Heidar Helguson are struggling for fitness.
Boyle Sports have Rovers as the favourites for this match, with odds of 5/6 being the best currently available. Bet 365 have the draw at 5/2, whilst VC Bet are offering the best odds for a Bolton win at 19/5.
Reading v Aston Villa
Villa are the visitors to the Madejski Stadium as Reading look to avoid their eight successive defeat. The Royals currently lie bottom of the form table, with no wins since Christmas, and the only Premiership team to have failed to register a single point in 2008. Interestingly, in the three previous meetings between Reading and Villa, the home team has always emerged victorious.
Villa on the other hand are unbeaten in nine of their last ten matches, and are chasing a European place, and have scored in every one of their last 21 matches. In this fixture last season, Reading ran out 2-0 winners as they themselves closed in on a european place thanks to two goals from Steve Sidwell. At Villa Park last month however, it was Aston Villa that won the game 3-1.
Villa are the favourites with Paddy Power (7/5), whilst VC Bet have Reading at 11/5. totesport have the draw at 12/5.
